I rarely end up making a layout that I plan. I get an idea, sit down to put it together and almost always end up with something completely different. I so wish I could sketch a layout and stick to the plan (thinking it might be a little more time effective) but every time I try I either don't like what I make or I completely change it. Are you a planner or a whack it together as you go kinda person like me?
Anyways, for this one I kept it simple, I just wanted to use up the black hearts from my last layout. Left them sitting on my desk ready to use but ended up cutting more of the same thing in different colours!
And then I ended up using the negatives from each cut instead. Made myself to sew down a couple of the actual cuts so I didn't feel like it had been a complete waste :)
The journaling is hidden behind the photo again. I am in love with doing this at the moment. Love it! Because I don't plan my pages I get to the end and wonder where I can put my journaling and more importantly, the date! (I can live without the story on a page but I must have the date on there somewhere). With hidden journaling I don't have to worry! Type it on a PL card or tag, get some washi tape and voila.
For this one I'd included another photo from the day which made it a little thicker and they wouldn't sit flat so I just used one of the Metal Tabs from Lemonlush (took the letter off and added a puffy sticker dot instead) to weigh the photo's down and keep things flat!
End of the weekend here. Time to get ready for another week at work! Hope your weekend was a good one :)
