Helloooooooo :) How is it mid-October already?! Sorry it's been so quiet around here - Zack and I have been up in QLD having our holiday, and before that it was a mad-house at work getting ready for my 2 weeks off ;) BUT I'm back, feeling very refreshed and finally sharing some of my October projects!
Last month I picked up one of the skinny wood veneer covers from the CTK shop and it is just the cutest thing ever. I love the smaller format and that I'm not restricted with my pages the same way a traditional TN book is. We're in the process of getting things organised to build our own house so I thought I'd use this to keep track of the various stages (and there are going to be quite a few...ugh).
I've used the October "Little Things" Pocket Life kit mostly but also sneaked in a couple pieces from the Embellishment Kit and the amazing Griffin Alpha Stamp (I just LOVE the alpha stamp, and I'm not a stamper! ;) ).
The exclusive papers incuded in this month's Pocket Life kit are gorgeous - I was so tempted to just hoard them but I know that's silly, so I've used them in this little book (and I'll just have to hit up Trina to see if I can get more haha).
How cute is this striped paper - I just love the colours. I typed the journaling up using the typewriter and matched the angle (not perfect but close enough). Kept the plan on the right pretty basic (not our final plan, it's the modified version I've fudged while we wait for the final drawings to come through).
For a little contrast I printed the overhead block/plan layout onto vellum - I'm thinking of backing it up later on with the actual overhead photo when when it's all said and done (still a longgggg way off that so I could totally change my mind later, ha).
I am really loving this smaller format for this book/album/TN/whatever you want to call it ;) I anticipate it wont be big enough for all the stages still to come so you can be sure I'm getting another couple veneer covers just incase!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
