I feel guilty for not posting here more often - but apparently not guilty enough that I actually log on and post something. HA! I'm not sure how I feel about blogs at the moment, it just seem like so much work (but then I'm coming off a month long project at work that required way too much brain power...). I'm sharing bits and pieces on IG though (which you can see to the right) - IG is just so easy...less photo editing and instant posting. Win, win, win.
BUT the reason for finally coming back to my little space on the web today was to share my projects using the Citrus Twist Kits November kits! They're all kinds of gorgeousness (as usual!). Sometimes it's weird to be working with themes/colours for opposite seasons and yet every month I get the kits and they are perfect for the photo's I want to use at that time!
Anyway enough blabber, here are the pages I can share so far ;) Still have another couple but one is for the CTK blog later this month and the other isn't quitttttttttte finished (I'm procrastinating in other words).
I'll start with my favourite because I LOVE these colours. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Ironically it's a page about me although the journaling is on the back of my page (it's just a personal note to myself about my weight loss journey this year, nothing super exciting lol).
Did I mention I love these colours?! I know it's Spring here and these are more Autumny-feeling colours but they are just so pretty.
Next up is actually the first page I made using the Pocket Life kit (which is actually sold out for November...already!!! Wow!). I've got all kinds of love for the CTK papers in the kit this month.
The heart veneers are from the Main kit. The veneers/cork shapes are always my favourite and I have to make myself not hoard them, haha. And the puffy alpha in this kit?! I'm going to NEEEEED more of this set.
Next up is a little layout that's all about banners. And cupcakes. And friends that give you cupcakes as a "Thank you" are definitely worth holding onto, lol.
Was a super easy page to create - all the banners are cut using my trusty scissors, then I just layered a few and stapled them together - didn't even use the sewing machine on this one! Even part of the title was cut using scissors, super easy! (Backed up with foam tape to give it some dimension).
And last layout for today is this one about my crazy little dude. I love the Illustrated Faith papers included in this month's Grace Box. I picked 3 of my favourite and just cut them into strips then tiled them around to create my own background.
The title is actually the foam phrases from the Main kit - the white was a little hard to read on the background so I just painted them black! I'd picked up the black acrylic from the shop a few month's back and it was perfect for this job. Not sure why I've never thought to paint alphas/phrases in the past!
And if you've somehow managed to get through all that - THANK YOU. Sharing all the layouts in one post makes it quite the read.. That's it for today but I'll be back (I promise) to share the other couple pages a bit later! In the meantime you should check out the CTK gallery and what all the other girls have been creating using the November kits - every month they amaze me and this month is no exception!
Thanks so much for stopping by - take care!! Em xo
