Hi scrappy friends! I'm back with my next page using the CTK January kits!
I started this page with a couple thoughts - first, try and get away from pink (which I'd used alot of on my first page) and secondly, use the pompom trim! I know; crazy right? But I seriously love that white pompom trim! So I came up with a design that would let me use it on the full height.
And here's the page I came up with (I used the Main, Embellishment and Paper Add-on):
I know, I know - there is pink! I somehow managed to still sneak it on there.... I'm hopeless ;) But it's just a teeny little bit so I'm totally going to call this one a win.
The page design is a easy one to follow and I've used it a few times in the past (if a design works, why break it?! Not every page needs to be "unique" I say!).
As you can see, I've kept things fairly neutral on this one, I went with the black/white paper from the Paper Add-on and stuck the white pompom trim underneath above/below my photo (doesn't go underneath the photo as it was making things a bit too bulky!).
I used a couple tags from the Main kit underneath my photo then layered one of the chipboard pieces from the Embellishment kit at the top. I popped my title directly underneath my photo and added another chipboard piece below that to balance out the colours. I actually used a few foam dots behind my title because it was sitting a little wonky with the pompom trim.
I typed the jouraling up on the computer again and popped it underneath the tile, then added the arrow paperclip on the photo and called this page done. This one came together rather quickly and I love the finished result! There's not alot to it (in terms of items on the page) but it looks smart. Well I think so anyway :).
I'm actually quite enjoying this blogging thing right now (although knowing me, I'll get sidetracked by something else and stuff it up soon, lol) BUT I'll be back here in a few days to share my next page. I know that for sure ;)
Hope the first week of 2018 has been a great one for you!
Thanks so much for stopping by again! Take care, Em xo
