Howdy! Just wanted to stop by and share a couple pages I created using the CTK January kits. I love all the kits but I have to confess, the 6x6 papers from the Pocket Life kit are some of my favourites ever! LOOOOVE them.
So first up I thought I'd share this one which has just 5 of those papers ;)
Super easy page to create - just pick your fave papers, cut little square'ish shapes and layer them around your page in random pattern! Left a small gap at the top for my title (who doesn't love those new chipboard phrases from the Add-on kit?!).
I went with a B&W photo because the colours our our shirt clashed a little with the papers, ha. Cheater I know ;)
Next up I've got another layout using papers out of the Pocket Life kit. I've been wanting to do something featuring multiple photo's from Zack's cartwheeling but couldn't figure out a layout - mostly because at 6x8 there is only so much space to fit them. Then I somehow got it in my head that cartwheels are circles which then had me looking up pie charts and somehow I ended up with this. Bizarre. I know.
I used Illustrator to print my photos - just found a shape I liked and created a clipping mask so they printed exactly as you see above and I hand-cut with scissors. Probably could have some the same thing alot easier using the Cameo but that's never my style, lol.
I went with B&W photo's again because of the colour clash of my photo's versus paper/embellishments. I had my heart set on using that die-cut for my title but the blue and green (from the hedge/grass in the photo's) just didn't go well together (as well as the maroon/blue from Zack's clothes, it was ugh!). I think the B&W makes the multiple photo's a little easier on the eyes too - in colour they were really in my face (I actually created this layout digitally before printing it all out - kinda like a sketch just on the computer).
And that's it for now! Got a couple more pages done already too but I'll stop by in a few days to share those ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
