Howdy doody! (Yeah I actually say that in real life too, lol)
Another day, another layout to share - this time it's using the December Pocket Life kits. I'm still trying to work out my method and style for this one. I've hit a bit of a bleah stage with my PL album - I think it's just because it's a busy time of year and I'm not getting to it as often as I'd like (pretty much updating once a month at the moment..). I have got into the habit of popping things into pockets (tickets/extra photo's I print out) so that when I update it later then they're there and I don't have to go through my phone to figure out what we did and when.
Any whooooo, enough blabber, here are my spreads I put together!
This month had me working on uneven layouts which is kind of annoying (in that I had the right side, a double spread and then left side - makes the photo's unbalanced, so I'll share page layout photo's rather than spread, ha!).
Simple is key with me at the moment. The "fancier" I try to be, the harder I find the pages to finish. Full 3x4 photo's with journaling in the opposite pockets with a couple embellishments ontop = WIN!
As you can see, we are all about tennis at the moment. Zack's playing tennis comp for the first time this year and he's loving it. In a great team and the boys are playing so well.
Repeated a similar format for all my pages this month - big photo with journaling beside it or I popped a tag/journaling ontop of the photo. Not alot of embellishing and I seemed to favour the tiny attacher over machine stitching this time around ;)
Getting 10-11 year old boys to pose for a photo is THE WORST apparently. The eye rolls we get from each of them are legendary I tell you.
Big fan of all the 3x4 cards this month - although I love them every month. Just the right amount of prompts for getting details down and you really don't need to add any embellishments to make it work. Love that!
And done! Lots of random everyday moments recorded. Nothing fancy but the photos and stories are there and that is what matters ;)
Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a awesome weekend! Take care, Em xo
