Another day, another project to share ;) This time it's a cute little mini book I created using the Add-on kit (and little paper from Main).
This little mini was actually inspired by Paige Evans' little 2x3 mini book she created not long ago (link to her Facebook page which has a quick little video - it's the cutest thing!) - my little book didn't quite go as small (this is 3x4) but it was super fun to put together so I'll definitely be trying to go that smaller size very soon!
Before I blab on too much, here's a quick little flip through (I've included individual photo's below if you want a closer look at the pages!).
This was pretty quick and easy to put together. I cut all the papers into 3x4 cards and to bind it all together I used a piece of yellow cardstock (cut to 4 inch high) then scored that in half inch increments and folded it back and forth to make a hinge-type basis. Super quick and easy way to bind a book together (just stick your papers to each side of the hinge and voila, done!).
Because of the small size I found the pages didn't really need alot of "things" on them to finish it off - just a few stickers here and there and it was done. This was by far the quickest and easiest mini I've ever made! That's not to say I didn't trash my desk during the process but I had this book in pretty much one night (I'd cut all the papers and put it together the day before then printed the photos/journaling and embellished the following night!)
The only thing I might change next time would be machine sticting before I stick it all together. My little machine didn't like going close to the centre of the book (too chunky) so for the next one I'll have to figure a way around that. But other than that, I don't think I'd change anything - was quick and easy to create - and I seriously LOVE that.
To close my album I just used a couple buttons and this stretchy thread I have in my stash (from who knows what) - I just loop the buttons around each other and it keeps the book shut. Easy peasy :)
And here's the photo walk-through! (click on the smaller images to open to full-sized image!)
And there you go - another mini-book down! I just love making these books and this one was so quick and easy I know for sure I'll be doing something similar again.
Thanks so much for stopping by again! Take care, Em xo
