Happy days - July kits are finally revealed! Wohoo! And word has it that the Main Kit and Pocket Life kits are almost sold out! Already! That's just crazy! Although not all that surprising; Trina manages to put together the most gorgeous kits every month that at PACKED with goodies, no wonder everyone wants to grab them!
Here's a look at the kits plus some of the layouts I've made using them. Main Kit:
The first layout I put together using Main Kit only was this one. I've been going through older photos and found this one of Zack and Maka from his birthday 3 years ago. Night time with sparklers; always a winner. Photo is completely blurry but I love it anyway :)
I love those chipboard glitter stars. LOVE! I'm hoarding the rest; no lie. Part of me wants to use them but the other part keeps telling me to "save them", ha! Not sure what for but they're stars with glitter...always a good thing ;)
Next up I decided to add some "messy" onto my layout. I'm trying to be a little less boring and do new things...the ink splatters are my attempt at messy. Ha! Kinda sad I know, but baby steps ;)
I really love the diamond chipboard shapes out of the Main this month. Unfortunately I've used nearly all of them on this one layout...
Next up I used a little from the Sprinkles kit. The monthly Sprinkles kit are AMAZING value; I mean $10?! Cant go wrong with that and this month's is super cute.
For this layout I had two challenges (for lack of a better word, ha!) - to use the denim fabric and the stamp designed by Jessy! I've said this before, but I'm not much for stamping, however this month's stamps designed by Jessy are AMAZING! There are 2 in this month's kits plus a couple in the store that you can purchase separately - if you've not checked them out then click here, you'll love them too!.
My next layout has a little from the Main Kit, Sprinkles, Pocket Life and Paper Play #2. Pocket Life:
Paper Play #2:
This was one of those late night layouts which can be hit or miss with me, ha. Sometimes I wake up the next morning, look at it and think "WTH is that?!" Fortunately not so in this case; I really like this one!
I created a confetti pocket at the top by stitching a piece of vellum (from my stash) over the top. I used the confetti die (which I picked up from the CTK store) and added some of the small word labels from the Pocket Life kit inside.
I added some foam dots behind the word stickers to give some dimension and then just added the chipboard hearts and enamel dots in the gaps. Sounds super easy to make but it took me ages to get it right, hence the late night :)
And that's it, for now! I still have a couple other things to share a bit later in the month ;)
I hope you'll swing by the CTK Gallery and check out the other amazing layouts by the Design Team. It's always so much fun to see what everyone else makes with the same kit. They are so talented and I consider myeslf incredibly lucky to work along side them each month!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope the rest of your week is great and your weekend even better! Stay safe :)
