Helloooooooooooo! It feels like forever since I gave this little space some attention; I'm a terrible blogger. Perhaps I should make this one of my new years resolutions; be more consistent!
I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas break! I'm back at work tomorrow (booo) for a few days then off for New Years and its all back to normal from the 4th. The holiday break is never long enough for me ;)
Thought I'd swing by with a few CTK sneaks using the January kits which are amazing. So easy to use. I've been scrapping in front of the TV these last few days (Stargate marathon, lol) and it's been a nice change! Anyway, enough blabber, on with the sneaks!
Above - Add-on, Embellishment, Sprinkles
Below - Add-on
Above - Embellishment, Sprinkles but the paper is a little from all the kits ;)
Below - Main & Sprinkles
Above - Main, Pocket Life, Sprinkles plus paper from all the kits again ;)
That's it for now! Gotta say I'm kinda loving these pages so far; and they were a breeze to put together (which obviously says something about the January kits! ).
Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay safe! Em xo
Just dropping in to share another layout made using the CTK December kits!
I actually made this one before my previous blog post layout, just forgot to share it...(and I cannot tell you how much it bugs me I'm posting layouts out of chronological order lol. Call me weird.)
Little bit from Project Life (papers), Main, Add-on and Embellishment kit on this one. I clearly like to mix and match. And I clearly love circles.
Still loving the December kits so much. Got another layout on my table just waiting to finish too! Love when layouts just seem to fall together so easily ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your week is an amazing one! Take care, Em xo
Happy Saturday! (or late Friday depending on where you are)
Just stopping in tot share a page I made last night. Now that dad's back everyone is feeling a whole lot happier and I don't feel guilty sitting down to scrap! Gosh I missed pushing paper around.
Made this one using pieces from the CTK December kits but also included little pieces here and there from my stash, although the Dear Lizzy pieces I picked up from the CTK store last month! I love those words (Dear Lizzy Serendipity Watercolor Word) - could seriously do with a few more packs ;)
This one came together after watching this YouTube video. Do yourself a favor and watch it.
I think it goes without saying that Ashli is absolutely amazing. But I have to confess, I watched the video and felt so.....inadequate lol (with my own scrapbooking pages). It was awesome to see how her pages came together (seemingly effortlessly!). My style/method is nothing like it, although I totally wish that it was ;)
But at the same time, after watching her make magic, it inspired me to create this...and I kinda like it so thank you Ashli!
That's it for today!
Looking forward to this weekend with everyone home. We're off to my aunt's 70th / 50th wedding anniversary tonight. Lots of family coming in from all over the place so it should be a bit of fun :)
Hope your weekend is an amazing one! Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
I completely missed the reveal day for Kellie's new stamps...hopeless I know! Unfortunately I've not had alot of time to sit down and play with the cameo BUT I did get a brilliant idea (lol) when I saw her Christmas set, Magic! I love the "merry & bright" stamp, it jumped out at me straight away and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Bit of a back story.....but...this year for some crazy reason I decided to set up 2 trees. There's the main "Santa delivers here" tree (which I'll share later for another project, ha!) then there is this little one out the back of the house that I set up. It's near the back door to the house so not many people will see it but it's kinda cute at night time with the lights on. Just went with plain silver over the tree but I really wanted something to jazz up the mantle a little.
Cue my brilliant idea to try string art, completely inspired by Pinterest of course. I have to admit, my initial plan was to do the whole thing as string art but man, there were sooooo many nails and I got confused what went where so it was not pretty. Rather than veto the whole idea I did boot up my trusty little Cameo, cut the words out of vinyl and went with string art for the "&" symbol! Ding ding, winnnnner! Check it out!! ;)
And some obligatory close up shots so you can see the details :)
I'm not that good at the DIY stuff generally speaking but I'm really happy how it turned out, I think its just a tad bit cute :)
The vinyl I used I actually took from work (yes, I got permission from the boss lol) - its a chrome finish and although it like it, it's a pain to use haha. Scratches sooooo easily, you can see them all in the close ups but from a distance it's fine, so that's all that matters :)
I like the pop of orange with all the silver and white in the room! PS - Photographing the chrome is painful too. Reflects everything ;)
And that's all I've managed so far... Totally slacking I know.
Kellie went above and beyond with this month's release, seriously. Check these out (click image to go straight to her store and see them better!):
Awesome or what?!
Well that's it for me today. OH! Some good news. Dad is home! WOHOO! Got the news this morning so mum was straight into the car and driving down to pick him up and take him away before they changed their minds again lol. Thank you so much for the messages/thoughts/prayers - we (my family and I) really, REALLY appreciate it - he's home now, so all those good vibes obviously worked! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care, Em xo
