A very quick note to wish you a Merry Christmas!!!
Hoping you have a wonderful day with your loved ones! Stay safe :)
Wow, time is just flying by. 4 days to Christmas. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That's me, running around like a crazy woman because I may not have finished Christmas shopping yet. Well to be honest I've only brought ONE thing for Zack so far. Yep, one. I'm not freaking out at all....
Tomorrow is my big shopping day, Along with half of Melbourne who have also left their shopping to the last minute. Really looking forward to it ;)
Anyways - we're in the house. Still not completely settled because painting won't happen until the new year. But we're in the house and that's all that matters. Last night was the first night back in my own bed. HEAVEN. No exaggeration. We've managed to get a good 90% of our things (still in boxes) into the house, so my muscles hurt in places they haven't in years, haha. All my "stuff" is still in containers but its so nice to have it all in one spot. I have a new appreciation for being lucky to have a dedicated scrap room just to myself.
Figured that given I'm so far behind in PL I might as well go with a Christmas layout so I can trick myself into thinking I'm keeping up with the times. Used this month's Park Ave kit. I really love the chipboard stars from the PL kit. Wish I could buy them individually!
I was really hoping to get to Ikea this week but given my Christmas shopping has been non-existent I've had to push it. I'm back at work from 29/12 too so not sure when I'll finally get down there to get new goodies! I plan on making it a full day event. I love Ikea. Having said that though, I've never actually been inside one but I so cant wait haha.
I hope your Christmas planning is going much smoother than mine and wishing you (and your family!) the safest and happiest Christmas ever!
Hi there :) Sorry it has been quiet here but between Zack, work and the house, there are just not enough hours in the day to get creative!
Good news is the house is almost done! Flooring going on this week and should be finished by next. Then we just need the new doors/windows in to finish the majority of work! Painting will be in the new year but that's not going to stop me moving back into this house! Can.not.wait.
Anyways, last week I enthusiastically signed up to do the "Lift the person above you" challenge! Then I got busy. Boo. Then my co-workers suckered me into making cards for a birthday and a wedding. For the record, I am NOT a card maker. Took me hours to come up with anything worth using haha. So today was the first time I managed to carve out some time and get my challenge layout done.
I scored by getting Gillian Nelson to lift. She's got an amazing gallery that you really should check out if you haven't already. Took me ages to pick one!
So this is what I came up with. I used purple! PURPLE, people! Wowza. The colour I don't particularly like at all, let alone use it on a scrap layout!
And this is the layout by G that I picked:
It's AWESOME. Love everything about that layout. And yah, I know mine is not quite that awesome ;)
Lots of Park Ave. Bit sad that most of this kit is still sitting in a tub on my desk. Had a look when it all arrived (as I always do, no matter how busy I am, I will make time to open that brown box up), then rummaged through it for this layout and that's it. Sadddddd!
I hope your weekend is a great one!!!
This layout all came about because of some vellum coin pockets. Brought these a while ago....not sure when, because they were...cute. And since they arrived they've been sitting there doing nothing. Until today! Today I dared myself to finally use the cute stuff. And voila!
Another layout about my niece. She spent the morning with us and we went on a shopping trip, so I had her on my brain when I sat down tonight :) Zack and Makayla together are exhausting, lol. I love them both more than anything, but I had to take a few deep breaths and stop to count to 10 today.... haha.
More Walden for this one. Love Walden. Lots. Park Avenue should arrive on Monday I hope. With all the Black Friday goodies. I'm both excited and scared. So much stuff, haha.
I hope your weekend is a great one :)
