Up with another layout from Walden. I truly do love the November kit to bits. Excited for December (and all the goodies I snapped up on Black Friday) but until that arrives I'm going to keep going with Walden!
I was lucky enough to have a scrappy play date at Aimee's last night and although there was lots of talking we actually managed to get a layout done, miracle! I didn't quite finish mine because well, I'm hopeless, but she did and its awesome (cant wait until she shares it with everyone!). I put the finishing touch on my layout at home tonight and it's actually a layout about me! More specifically my nails, lol. Kinda weird I know. I'm really not a fan of getting my photo taken, but I really do love getting my nails done, so that's exactly what I scrapped!
More Concord on this, which is without a doubt my favourite kit from Walden. Plus I used a couple PL cards from Firchburg. Loved the two patterns together!
I cut the individual "m" and "e" from the Amy Tangerine accent phrases that were included in Concord. Couldn't get the edges as rounded like the rest but didnt come up too bad I think!
I hope your weekend has been, and continues to be, a great one (especially if you've had fun snapping up bargains with all the online sales at the moment!! I'm too scared to look at any more stores....).
Today I had some spare time so I started going through some of the older layouts by the SC CT and immediately fell in love with one by gluestickgirl (Love this), specifically the tags on the side of her layout! Looooove it! So with that on my mind, I sat down and a few hours later, this is what I finished up with :)
Got me using up all those little bits of paper I save too. I have this little owl bowl thing on my desk and its the place I put all the bits and pieces I take out to use, but don't (i.e. I'm too lazy to put them back in their proper container), including little scrap pieces of paper.... Do you have anything like that? Or am I really just that lazy, lol.
Only a couple more days until the weekend here. I'm headed up to Aimee's on Friday night and I cant wait - so excited to catch up with her again! Plus scrappy time with a girlfriend is always fun :)
Hope the rest of your week is a great one!
Little M's birthday bash went off without any drama's. Lots of kids. Lots of kids running around. And lots of parents and family standing outside away from said kids. Missy changed costumes a couple times, as you do when its your birthday... Lots fun and not a long day ;)
Soon as I got home I downloaded photo's and was itching to scrap one. Layout is quite simple, not a lot to it. Grabbed some more ephemera pieces from Concord and layered them up. The banner I made by printing a stamped image (repeated over and over and over, think A4 size, haha, had different plans when I started) onto vellum. There is no journaling with this one, I plan to add that into this weeks PL and use this as an insert. Kinda cheating ;)
Unfortunately I didn't get many good photo's of the "Happy Birthday" moment this year; although this one is a winner. Lots of kids pushing and shoving to be front and centre for that cake! I flipped it to black and white because there are so many clashing colours from everyone standing around ;)
This makes it the 5th layout from Walden release! And still a few weeks to fill before December kit is released/arrives, clearly Walden is a favourite with me :)
Just popping in with a quick post. I couldn't pass on doing a layout about Makayla turning 5 :) She can be such a girly girl sometimes and she was doing that little girly giggle because her cousin (Zack) was standing behind me pulling faces.
Journaling hidden behind the photo again. Printed straight onto a PL card (thankfully it printed right way up, only have one of these cards and I couldn't remember which way it went in the printer, was feeling too lazy to test beforehand, haha).
Lots of bits from a few different kits on this. Mostly from this month's Walden release but a few from Underground and Poet Society too.
We have her big party tomorrow. Frozen theme, ought to be fun :)
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
