Finally got back to trying a Sunday Sketch! This week's SB sketch is by Nicole Samuel's and the first thing that grabbed me were those triangles, love 'em! Didn't really have much planned for the layout except I knew it had to have triangles on it.
And that's pretty much where I stopped following the sketch, ha!
I really struggle to use more than one photo on a layout. Not sure why, you would think it would be easy. Maybe its because the pages I do are small (6x8) so fitting 2 photo's on it seems cramped.. Maybe.
Really simple journaling but boy, I love this story! I love how simple it is and how much it's "just Zack". And I adore the way he says apocalypse (tricky at the best of times, ha) - I've written (well, typed) it exactly as it sounds when he says it, so in 20 years from now I wont forget :)
It's been one of those weeks; which means not alot of scrapping going on ;) Lots of house decisions - finalised the kitchen, bathroom and flooring (i.e. paying lots of deposits = fun and yet not fun...). But on the eve of SC October's kits being released I thought I'd best get another layout done using Poet Society!
Decided to go with a layout of Miss M - that way I can go overboard on pink and not feel weird about it :)
Looking forward to The Underground but I must admit I have no idea what to get this month! Not sat down and looked through the sneaks/reveal shots properly, but there is only 3 hours to go so plenty of time to figure it out ;)
We're off to the circus tomorrow (mum, Zack & I) - should be fun! I've not been to the circus since I was a kid and it will be Zack's first. After that we're having family dinner for my mum's...60th!!! Yikes, 60, she's getting old. Pensioner soon! Gotta rub it in when I can.. Ha! ;)
Hope your weekend is a good one!
Congratulations to the winners!! I used random.org to pick a number (I'd typed a list and put names against numbers as entries were posted on either Instagram or here on the blog) and kept clicking until I had 6 numbers :)
If winners below could please email me their addresses (just click that little envelope icon to the right -->) - I'll be sure to get them into the post and on their way to you this week!
Congratulations again and thank you to everyone for entering! Keep your eyes out for more giveaways in the future ;)
Another kinda fast layout using a little bit of everything from Poet Society. Actually finished this in two sittings which is unusual for me. The idea popped into my head around 9pm last night (which on a work night is never a good thing) so sat down and had it mapped out and mostly done by 11pm. Sat down again tonight to finish it off (just stick it all in place and add those little bits of extra "stuff" that I cant help myself but put down..) and its done!
I'm finding this month's kits just so easy to use - I don't have to over think things too much and I'm really enjoying the time I'm spending to make pages using the kits (mind you, I've only made 3...hah). Doesn't always happen that way of course, but its oh so nice when it does :) Some close up's...because why not?!
I still have a love/hate relationship with rub-ons. The words below were not my first choice to add to the tag. I actually wanted to use the rub-on version of "You are so loved" but I somehow managed to get it to stick onto itself and BLAH, just like that, its ruined. Don't know how I manage to do it (I try to be careful) but it happens all the time.
It's the start of school holidays for the kids in Australia so Zack is off to his dad's for a few days starting this weekend - means the house will be soooo quiet. When he's here I quietly wish for some quiet time and when he's gone I really miss his constant chatter and look forward to him being home again, crazy ;)
I'll be back on the Sunday to draw/post the winners of the giveaway goodies, but in the meantime I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
