Hi gang!!! Just wanted to stop by and share that I'm up on the Dear Lizzy blog today with a layout using the new Saturday collection.
I had a wonderful brown box arrive last week (YAY for being on holidays!!!) and could not wait to get started using it all. I LOOOOOOOOOVE everything about this new line, seriously; so many fun, new embellishments (not to mention all the papers patterns, swoon!). I'm particularly obsessed by the wooden beads. They are so stinkin' cute!
And look at all the pretty pappppppppersss! Plus 6x6 paper pads are forever my favourite, lol.
Anyways, here's a sneak of the page I made (look at those wooden beaddddsss!), click here to go see the full page on Dear Lizzy's blog :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
Just wanted to stop by and share my next layout using the Citrus Twist Kits August kits! I share the pages on IG and completely forget I need to do it here too. Hopeless I know :)
Actually fired up the Cameo for this one too. Created my own background pattern by scoring lines - nothing too fancy I know, but I really like how it turned out!
I love, love, love the new Amy Tangerine die-cut paper tags that came in the Grace Box this month! Really so pretty (could totally colour these, but I love 'em left white, obviously ha!).
And those wood veneer alphas from the Add-on kit?!! My favourite!! Such a fun font and the fact that they have the adhesive on the back is a +++++ in my book :)
Only have one more page made so far (for the 3-To-Inspire challenge up on the CTK blog this weekend!) but I'm still having a heap of fun with the August kits. Playing catch up in my Memory Planner (slacked off and got a few weeks behind, eek!) and the August kits are perfect to use :)
And that's it for now! I'm off to catch up on the previous 2 weeks in the Memory Planner so I can cross that off my list ;) Not that there is a whole lot on my list these holidays - other than a lot of messing around in the craft room, maybe a couple movies with mum (in-between school drop off/pickup times lol) and enjoying 2 weeks of not having to drive down to work!
Thanks for stopping by. Take care, Em xo
PS - Flour Market was AWESOME! Not so great for the calorie counting but it all looked SO YUMMY. Wanted to buy one of everything, but that would have just been crazy. Did get a few goodies though...(photo below taken after the family had claimed something, so missing a few more donuts...lol). Can't wait for the next one ;)
Hi friends! I'm late posting another layout but I actually have a legit reason for once; I've had no internet (phone company doing maintenance that caused drama's with our line). But happy to report we're back up and running and so here I am!
I've booted up the Cameo a few times this month and I'm enjoying playing with it again. It really is awesome little thing.
I created my own background pattern by repeating a hexagon shape and then cut it out of white cardstock. My initial thought was to put patterned paper behind but then I had all these white little hexagons lying about and I figured it might be fun to create layers using them! So I got out my trusty glue pen and stuck them together, anywhere from 2-8 high.
I used the August Main and Add-on for this one! Took a little time to stick those tiny little hexagons together (they're only about 1/2 inch'ish wide) but I'm super happy with how it ended up. It's one of those pages that is hard to capture on film but the different depths looks cool in person....atleast I think so hehe.
Those puffy and word stickers in the main - loooooove! I'm a sucker for the tiny little embellishments (perfect size for my pages) and these are perfect!
And that's it for now! Tomorrow is FRI-YAY! And it's doubly good for me this week because I'm starting 2 weeks holiday after tomorrow, YAYAYAYAYAY! Can.not.wait. No special plans to go anywhere, just looking forward to having 2 weeks off to re-charge and do whatever. (Like get up super early and go to Flour Market on Sunday, yayayyayay).
Hope your week has been a great one! Thanks for stopping by :) Em xo
Just stopping by quickly to share the first page I created using the CTK August Kits! I love all the die-cuts, stickers, in fact, all the embellishments in the kits this month. It's all gorgeous!
This page features a little from them all and I went with a quick and easy grid! Die-cuts are such an easy way to work a grid into your page (especially if you do smaller 6x8 pages like me).
I reallllllllly wanted to hoard that icecream die-cut. But I'm working on less hoarding and more using these days so onto the page it went!
I added my journaling onto a tag and stuck it on the back of my page. I tend to do this alot on my pages because with only 6x8 of space, sometimes I find the journaling crowds the page too much. Having it on the back (or hidden behind the photo) isn't everyone's cup of tea but I figure as long as I'm getting the story down; it doesn't matter where it goes!
Anyways, that's the first page shared! I've got 2 more to share this week (holding onto another one that will appear on the CTK blog later this month too!). Have you checked out the CTK gallery lately too? The DT girls have smashed it AGAIN this month.
I'd love to hear what's your favourite "pretty" thing out of this month's kits!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care, Em
