It's been a crazy week so I didn't get a chance to sit and play with paper as much as I liked, but Sunday was my day! Plus it rained almost all day which meant I couldn't go outside and practise football with Zack...what a shame ;)
I dug into my paper scrap box for this one; all those little pieces come in handy some times! I also used my trusty little circle punch! I know that cutting machines (electronic or not) are the big thing but I love my little punches. So quick and easy to use.
For the background I used a 3/4 circle punch and then just cut each one in half. I can't remember where all the papers come from, I think most are from the 6x4 Studio Calico paper pads.
I created a bit of dimension on the background by layering a few of the patterned papers (just used foam dots in between each).
Took a bit of time but I quite like how it ended up! And I used things from my stash which is always a good thing!!
I hope your weekend was a great one! Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care, Em xo
Warning! Image heavy post ;)
I'm secretly addicted to making these little books at the moment. They are so fun to put together! Yeah, they seem to take me ages to actually finish but the fun factor far outweighs the time suckage ;)
So long story short, I thought it would be fun make a little album to record how much my "craft room" has changed over the years. I officially started scrapbooking around early 2011, although I didn't capture my "setup" back in the early days. Lots of plastic containers filled to the brim with all those gorgeous little accessories you can buy from the $2 store. /end sarcasm
Yeah. Awesome. Ha!
For this album I used a Becky Higgins 4x4 (because I love the rainbow!) and all the bits and pieces inside came from the CTK July kits, plus lots of Dear Lizzy and other random pieces from my stash :)
So enough blabber - onto the photo's...
And that's it! For now ;)
There isn't a great deal of space to add more pages; but if there are any big changes to the craft room you can bet I'll either jam them in there or start another one to keep it going. It's fun to look at how much the space I create in has changed to match my "style" over the past 5 years. All for the better might I add, haha.
I hope your weekend is an amazing one! Zack's playing football tomorrow so we're off nice and early to watch him (and freeze our butts off); then a little bit of shopping before coming home and having my niece over for the day/night! Of which I'm positive we'll be playing with Snapchat filters for hours and laughing so much we cry - I love that app just for the filter fun factor, lol.
Thanks for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
Just stopping by to share that I'm up on the CTK blog with this weeks 3-To-Inspire challenge! Hope you'll pop by and play along - it's a fun one!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!
Take care, Em xo
Hi gang! Just wanted to swing by and share my next layout using the CTK July kits!
This was a completely random page - I was going to hand-cut a flower shape but ended up with this shape instead lol. Not exactly flower-like are they. ;)
I know doilies are not for everyone but I love using them. I think they add a little bit of girly without it being too over-bearing. They're fun :)
I've still got another page to share but that will be up on the CTK blog in a few more days ;)
Thanks for stopping by!! Take care, Em xo
