Hi scrappy friends!
Super excited to share that I'm up on the CTK blog today with my Snapchat Mini! I love making these at the moment; they are so fun! I turn my room into a disaster zone in the process which drives me a little batty, but they're so worth it. I just really, really enjoy creating them and only wish I had more "mini-worthy" moments so I could create more of them, haha.
Hello scrappy friends!
Just stopping in to share that I'm up on the CVS blog today with a fun little page about my favourite time of the year; Spring!
It's so cold over here today and I'm totally dreaming we had the warm weather of Spring. Sun shine, flowers, warmmmmmmmmmth! Winter needs to hurry up and leave (although I must say, as far as winters go, this is definitely not the worst.....still sucks though ;)).
Thanks for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
Hi friends! Happy Friday :)
Back with another layout using the gorgeous June kits though and incase you didn't know - I love the bight, happy colours of the kits this month so I decided to add a little from each colour of the rainbow onto this one.
Rainbows on a page are always a good idea and the paper from Elle's Studio in the Pocket Life kit this month were a perfect match to make that happen! I backed each coloured paper with a neutral (black/white papers from Main/Addon) and then stitched around the edges for some texture.
Originally I'd planned to fill the page with these little rainbows but it got a little crazy looking so I toned down the bottom section of my page by using the grid paper from the Main kit.
This months Add-on kit comes with a cute stencil so I thought I'd break out the white modelling paste! It's not often I use the "messy" stuff so it made for a fun change. And I love the texture it adds!
And that's the last page I've created (so far!!) shared! I'll have a little mini-album up on the CTK blog a little later this month :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by. Take care, Em xo
I'm back to sure the next page I created using the CTK June kits! This one features paper from Paper Play #1 and goodies out of the Add-on kit. I LOVE this page. There I said it, I actually really love this one. I should probably say it's because of the subject but if I'm honest it's about the COLOURS! I looooove the bright colours!
Pinks and yellows = happppppppppppy! Add in some mint and baby blue and it's just pretty (well I think anyway). I punched 1 inch and 3/4 inch circles from the Paige Evans Oh My Heart Paper "24" ( Pink Paislee) pattern paper and then just layered them together, making sure I mixed up the patterns/colours.
I ran a few of them through the sewing machine in a few different stich types (love my little sewing machine!). Then I sat them at the top of my page in a pattern 4/3/4 and another row at the bottom (4 so it matched the top!).
To help reduce the amount of "white space" on my I machine stitched a border around my page in 2 different shades of pink cotton and I really how it turned out (plus the colours help make the page really "pop!").
My journaling is hidden under the photo and I just used a bit of washi tape (from the Add-on) to act a the hinge. Then I popped one of the die-cuts (from the PL kit) behind my photo and it helps act as a tab you can grab to lift the photo up and read the journaling!
How cute are those yellow alphas from the Add-on kit?! Such a fun font and...THEY'RE YELLOW! Looooove, love, love!
Then I just popped a few of the enamel dots on a few of the circles (in matching colours of course!) and it was done!
I'm really happy how this one turned out. I managed to use circles (which you know I love!) again with pattern papers in bright, happy colours. Perfect combo!
Thanks so much for checking in! I'll be back in a few days with another page! ;)
Take care, Em xo
