It's been a horrible rainy weekend here. Perfect for staying inside and playing with paper. In between entertaining a certain 7 year old that is.
Playing with Hello Hello again. I know, Penny Arcade is out now so this is kinda old news, but I didn't get much of a chance to play before I had to start getting layouts together for July's kit and Hello Hello is just awesome.
Got the old circle punches out for this one! I love my Cameo, really truly, but punches are just so much faster! This one has the journaling and another photo underneath the top one.
It's reveal day at Studio Calico - Penny Arcade is taking centre stage! It's another great month, all the kits are amazing. And the CT gallery is nothing short of stunning, what they have made with the kits just amazes me. Beautiful, all of it.
I have (so far) made 9 SB layouts and 3 SB spreads with these kits. That is some kind of record for me! They're just so easy to work with. Here's what I managed to make for DT, in order of how I made them incase you're interested how my brain processed it all, haha. (Click on images to be taken to larger photo's at the SC gallery).
So there you have it. Hopefully I've not made a completed boob of myself and someone out there gets a little bit of inspiration from something I put together using these amazing kits!!
I am so grateful for the chance to be on the DT, it something that I'll definitely remember (and talk about, ha) for quite some time. For sure going to take centre stage in PL this week, lol. A big thank you to everyone at Studio Calico for the opportunity, and especially to Stephanie for answering my countless questions, you made this such a wonderful experience!
This past week has just flown by! Been... busy ;)
OMGOSH. OMGOSH. OMGOSH.
Say that 10 times really fast, then run around the room with your hands pressed against each side of your head and you'll look somewhat like me when I first read the email asking if I would be the guest designer, lol.
Cant believe I'm Guest Designer for July!!!! Most exciting news ever! And most nerve racking process ever, ha! I've not been a Guest Designer before so I wasn't exactly prepared for the whole process. I would like to high-five any of you girls (and guys if you're reading!) that do this every single month. You are just awesome. AWESOME I SAY!
So I guess I should post some sneaks!!!! (How cool is it to say that? lol)
First up, SB main kit only!
Then there is the PL kit only.
And of course I played with the add-ons. My faves? They are all pretty spectacular I have to say. You're gonna love them. But for me? Its a three-way tie between Skeeball, High Striker and Fortune Teller. LOVE!
I've managed to get a few more layouts done but I think those are enough for now, don't want to overload, haha!
And I am oh so nervous for reveal, its nuts. Lol.
Well apparently pigs do fly... because I actually managed to finish two layouts in one night (posting it a day later though). Miracle!!! And its not about Zack! Omgosh.
This one was super easy though - set myself a time limit and just went for it. Fun to do sometimes - makes me not over think it. I pick a picture, grab some paper and stick that stuff down! Technically that whole process means it should take like 5 minutes to finish the layout, so I guess I must ummmm and aaaaah too much still :)
Proudly designing for:
