*** EDIT 30/5 - GIVEAWAY CLOSED. @jecarl via IG won this one. But I really appreciate everyone who actually visits this blog (always surprises me that anyone would, lol) so I thought I'd put together a little something to send to someone here.... Thanks to random.org that winner is Katie! I'll be in touch via email to get your address :)
To everyone else, thank you so much for taking the time to visit here and enter, I really appreciate it! I'll be having another giveaway shortly as I hit 1k followers on IG (omgosh! it's a miracle!) and will post it here as well :)
It's been a while since I hosted a little giveaway and after cleaning out the office on the weekend I finished up with this cute little bundle of unused goodies so I'm trying to find them a new home!
Usually I just run it via IG but I realise that not everyone uses that, so I'm sharing it here too! Just leave a comment and I'll add your name to the draw! :) Open to everyone and I will pick a winner next weekend!
Sooooooooooooooooo.....it's been a while since I posted hey. I'm such a slacker! Sorry for the absence but things have been busy.
It's kinda taken me by surprise actually. Work was dead quiet for weeks then all of a sudden its gone nuts and I'm struggling to keep up. Which is good (keeps me in a job, lol) and bad (keeps me away from here)..
Plus I've been obsessing over these hand-made baby gifts... I couldnt just stick with one prent (mobile for above the cot) could I? Noooo. Not even two (set of 3 wall prints). I had to try for three (pom-pom rug) different things. Got two done, third one is a fail though. What possesed me to make teeny pom-poms and try to make a rug with them I do not know. But 100 pom-pom's later and I'm not even half way. And I'm sick of pom-poms. HA.
Anyways, enough blabbering on! Sat down tonight with this need to make a bright, happy layout about something. Ended up doing a layout about Zack's shoe size instead, lol. Weird, right?! And missed out on the bright, happy colours too. Finished up with this instead!
I'm not one to usually like the big bold patterns that seem to be doing the rounds lately but that blue cross paper is kinda awesome. For some reason I missed getting the 4x6 paper pad this month or I would probably have used the smaller version - although I don't mind the bigger pattern for this.
The Amelia puffy stickers are just adorable! LOVE! (sadly out of stock right now, but hoping they'll get more, not sure one pack will be enough!)
Thanks so much for stopping by :) I promise I'll try and get back a lot sooner than it's taken this time!
Hope the rest of your week is an amazing one!
Had a company work meeting last night so didn't get a chance to swing by and let you know I have a post up on the Citrus Twist Kits blog - sharing a couple things I made using the Maggie Holmes Confetti flower die set! I LOVE this die set. It's awesome and the colour combo's I can make are endless!
Here are a couple sneakies; hope you'll pop over to the blog and see the rest!
And happy Friday! Hope your weekend is an amazing one!!
Back again to share a couple more of my layouts using the May kit for Citrus Twist Kits!
I think this is my favourite layout from this month, mostly because I love the story behind it. See a few years back when Zack was younger and I was just starting to scrapbook, I may have told him that it was "work" and that he had to leave me alone for a while so that I didn't get into trouble.... Terrible white lie, I know. But it worked and in fact...it still works!
He loves getting the boxes off the front door and taking them inside, smiling for a photo, then helping me unpack. After which he'll go sit down and watch TV or play lego, or something similar, so "I can do work and not get in trouble from the boss".
I know I probably should let him know it's not technically work....but....well, you see, he's so quiet, and it's just so..nice, lol.
This layout is a combination from a few of the May kits - Main kit, Embellishment kit plus both the paper add-ons (and I used a piece of vellum from my stash). Love the colours on this - soft and pretty without being "girly" given he's a little dude ;)
Next up is this one and its all about the gold. Loooove all the gold in this month's kit. Can never have too much ;) I debated cutting up the paper form the Main kit for so long! Part of me wanted to hoard it but I am trying to learn to let go.... What is the point of having all this gorgeous stuff if I don't actually use it...sooo, I chopped it up.
Then it was just a matter of stitching straight down the middle of the page a few times, because let's face it, no layout of mine is ever complete without machine stitching on it ;)
Added a strip of washi at the top and bottom, popped the photo on top, few stars here and there and done! Once I finally made the decision to chop the paper up this layout actually came together easily!
And that's it for now!
OH! By the way, incase you didn't know - we are still celebrating NSD on the CTK Fan Page! We have new challenges going up daily with some amazing Daily Deals attached, so please stop by and join in - we love to see what everyone makes (and its open to everyone, not just subscribers!).
