So, the amazing Aimee is hosting this week's challenge at Studio Calico! So excited to see her on the blog and Aimee challenged us all to break out that shiny stuff and put it on a layout! Now I love shiny stuff but actually using it on a layout when its my main focus....not so easy it turns out! Still, its fun to give it a shot and this is where I ended up:
Gold can be a pain to photograph sometimes (though it probably doesn't help to wear a red jacket that reflects badly on anything shiny..) so here's another angle.
Was a fun challenge to play along with - hopefully everyone will give it a go!
Playing along with Marcy Penner's Jumpstart recipe - 4 patterned papers, 2 tags and 1 button. This layout started a whole lot differently (grid layout) with completely different photo's. I usually love grid layouts but I just couldn't get it to work with the 2 photo's I was trying to use. So I turfed it and started new. The result:
Oh, and some exciting news! Somehow Shine was this weeks LOTW at Studio Calico!! So exciting!!! Piccy below :)
So I got home early enough to photograph it last night and took a heap of shots only to notice later on (when it was now dark) that one of the letters was crooked. Ahhh! So had to wait until this morning. Double page spread using this weeks SB sketch at Studio Calico. Love those alpha's, need another couple packs...
