I have to post some sneak shots of these kits. If you were ever thinking about getting a Citrus Twist Kit then let me tell you...THIS IS THAT MONTH! You will thank me later.
Work has kicked my-you-know-what again this week so I've not had a chance to actually finish a page completely yet (few on the go, multi-tasking haha, ugh!) but I have been snapping photo's like a mad woman because they're just soooooooo pretty!
Here are just a few main kit goodies. And when I say "just a few", I mean it. There is SO MUCH MORE! I'm telling you - you want these kits lol.
Then we go onto the Pocket Life kit. And honest truth, I can't decide which I love more this month. (Btw, look at that script card, SO PRETTY!)
And just because I like making little collections of things, here's a few of my personal favourites from the Main, Pocket Life, Embellishment and Sprinkles: kits. Yeah, I suck I know.
So, I manage to tip you over the edge and you're going to get them this month?! Say yes! ;) You won't regret it I promise!
OK I have to keep this short, I really need to finish my layouts so they're ready for reveal...So much going on this weekend, it's going to be fun!
Hope your day was awesome and your weekend moreso! Thanks for stopping by!
Take care, Em xo
So....I was trying to be good and post regularly. Then things got busy and I lost my mojo. Just when I think work is going to chill out, things get busy. And I neglect this space. Bad Emma ;)
Anyways....around here....I did a little re-arranging in the office. Zack's been hanging out with me more and rather than bump into each other when he's sitting at my computer desk, I've moved over to the other side of the middle desk and it's so much better!
Closer to the sewing machine too which makes life easier. Just spin around in the chair and boom!
During the work week I wanted to do something but I couldn't decide on a layout so I made some pretty paper flowers instead! I've made these in the past and I like them because they are just so easy - all you need is paper, a pair of scissors and a hot glue gun. Tend to burn myself with that glue gun though....one day I'll learn. Maybe. ;)
I've also been working through Maggie Massey's new class at Big Picture Classes - Everyday Memories. I love using my planner to capture the everyday stuff and I've picked up a few new tricks to make this easier and faster! Double win :) Really enjoying class and hearing Maggie talk is the cutest!
But today I'm happy to report I finally got my scrappy on and finished a page, WOHOOOOOOO. Bad news is I can't share it yet though. Dontcha just hate that?!
Instead I'll leave you with this image because mini-donuts?! THE BEST! They more than makes up for not sharing the layout ;) Got these yesterday when mum & I went shopping (hello Target!) and Zack thought he'd try and sneak one without me noticing. Never.gonna.happen. Kid has alot to learn about donuts and me.
Hope your weekend was a fabulous one and your week isn't too crazy!
Thanks for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
I've shared this on Instagram but I thought I'd put it on here too!
I like to leave my layouts out on display for a few weeks before they get filed into my handbooks. Couple reasons; it gives everyone a chance to see what I've done (because they don't often get the albums down and actually flip them) and secondly, I like looking at them :)
I have this odd sized wardrobe/cabinet to the right of my door and the side of it is the perfect width for my little 6x8 pages! I had been using a piece of string pinned to the wall and clipped my layouts to that using mini-pegs for a long time (and it worked really well!) but decided to freshen it up a little.
Solution - cheap dollar store white frames! Ha. I've used tiny nails to hang the frames and stick the layouts to the outside of the glass using blu-tak! Super easy. And inside the frames I added a few of my favourite Dear Lizzy Happy Place papers so that if/when the frames are blank, they still look cute!
Do you keep your layouts out or file them straight away? Or leave them in big piles and add them to your "to-do-later" list? :) Love to hear what you do!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope your week is a great one! Take care, Em xo
Happy Friday! WOHOO! Best day of the week :)
Just wanted to stop in and share a new page. The aim of this page was to use a whole lot of pink (was just one of those days) but as usual I didn't end up using most of what I took out BUT!!! I did break into the veneer stash, yay! The clear jar thing is working!
Although I have to admit, the best thing about having it all in one jar...
....is tipping the whole lot out on my desk and digging through to find the pieces I want, haha. This method is not for everyone I know, but I totally love it! ;)
Anywho's onto the layout! Oh, oh - I tried my hand at mixed media! Well, I'm claiming it as mixed media but I'm not actually sure it qualifies.... lol. I used my Heidi Swap stripes stencil and the modelling paste on a layout! Left it white so it's very subtle but I kinda like it. Can you see it?!
Lot's of little pieces from my stash on this one. Little pieces that I had tucked away in containers in my drawers and had forgotten about. Finally getting around to using them :)
Few drops of Color Shine in hot pink because I loooooove the colour. I'm not sure my little mini mist is going to be enough..
The wood veeners are mostly Studio Calico I think, from who know's what kits. :) I really liked the mixed font.
And that's it! Hope your Friday was/is a great one and your weekend even better!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Em xo
