I'm a couple days late sharing this one - weekend just flew by...which is good and bad. Good, as we had a bit going on and bad because I'm already back at work. Booooo!
Was actually late sharing my 3 To Inspire post on the Citrus Twist blog too. I had my post put together for ages but clearly did not click that big button that says "Post" so it didn't go live on Saturday like it was meant to. What a newbie ;)
This is the page I put together:
I really enjoyed putting this challenge together and I'll hope you join in with the challenge! Plus if you play along and upload the the gallery/FB page - you can win some goodies ;) Always a bonus!
Almost sneak time too - so exciting!! Can not wait to share the pages I've made this month!!!!
Sharing some random shots from our week again :)
Enjoying the lovely Autumn weather. Still getting lots of sunshine but wont be long until its bleak and grey and raining :)
Back at school again which means a hair-cut. Well overdue! And actually getting nice smiles for the camera....
Making a mess with the new Studio Calico April kits.
Being on Pinterest too much and finding things like this to do! Added some white cardstock stars to the back of fairy lights. I kinda like it :)
Dragging out all the old games from the cupboards because school nights = no computer and bed early. HA! Dominos and chess are the favourite's this week.
Enjoying lots of coffee. And a few Arnott Chocolate Royal's here and there too. I'm out of Mint Slices. Really need to fix that.
Tomorrow is Fridddddayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Happy dayyyyyyyyy! Hoping my CT kit lands on my doorstep instead of being somewhere in Melbourne "in transit to the destination". Crossing fingers!
Just a quick post today to share a new layout. And can I just say....I used paint! I know!! I never use messy stuff. The mint letters from the SB kit are cute but I don't love them and they didn't match the paper I wanted to use so....I painted 'em yellow. I may be a little happy with myself for trying something different for a change ;) Everything is baby steps with me, ha!
The pineapple paper from Daffodil is just gorgeous, makes me happy and I love it; so I really wanted to have atleast one layout feature it. (I think Daffodil is my fave this month, Tulip would be a close second). But pineapples are actually kind of difficult to work into a general layout without it looking...corny. Well in my mind they are anyway ;)
I went with a star-burst (freehand cut it using scissors) and left a gap in between each piece so that the white cardstock could show through and break the pattern a bit. My logic is that the gap helps it look less......pineapply. (And yes, I just made that up, lol).
And some close ups, because they are always fun.
And that's it for now! I hope your week is a fantastic one :) Stay safe!
I'm up on the Citrus Twist blog today sharing a peek into my office/studio :) Hope you'll swing by and say hello!
I feel so odd calling it a "Studio"; for some reason in my odd little brain, "Studio" is for those Super-Star scrapbookers and I definitely don't class myself as one lol. Yeah, weird I know ;)
