OK, I think it's fair to say I am hopeless at updating this blog. Seriously. Please forgive me? ;) I keep meaning to sit down and type/share something and then....something always distracts me lol. I really should try scheduling ahead of time, but it was broken a few month's back, not sure if they fixed it (it kept messing up the dates so a post never went live on the right date which was super annoying).
ANYWHOS! I'm here to share a some sneaks using some of the February kits!
But first....February?! How can we almost be in February already?! Means I'm almost a year older. Bleah. (Tomorrow is the official birthday, but I'm still in denial that its month's away okay...).
OK enough blabber. Time for the most important thing. SNEAKS! Yay!
First up I've got a double-page spread, wohoo! Using the Add-on Kit...which you are going to go all googly eyes for. Trust me. LOOOOOOOOOVE.
And next up is a sneak of the Main Kit. You'll go googly eyes for this too. Colours are YAYAYAYAY!
And then there's this..... Little sneak of some things I'm sharing mid-month...combination of Main & Add-on kits :)
And that's it...for now! Still have some fun pages up my sleeve.... Doing another shared CTK blog post mid-month with an amazing lady on the CT and it's going to be awesome! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time to visit this space, I really, really do! Sorry I'm such a terrible blogger :)
Stay safe!! Em xo
Happy weekend friends! It's been a relaxing one for us here. Little sleep-ins (I class anything after 7am as a sleep-in; Zack's usually awake early!), cleaning house, baking cakes and some much needed crafty time :) Not a bad weekend so far - with a birthday dinner tonight for my dad! Keeping it simple, the man does not like anyone making a big deal about his birthday so it's a BBQ with the family and the choice of 2 cakes afterwards! We're torn between chocolate and vanilla in our house, so we make both ;)
Wanted to stop by and share a page I made yesterday. Inspired by something I found on Pinterest. Love the layered look of all those books :)
Used the CTK January kits for most of this but included one of the papers from the SC January kit well. The die-cut title is from Dear Lizzy's Serendipity line - I totally need to chase down a couple more packs of those, I love them :)
The word stickers came from the November 2015 CTK Add-on kit and the white enamel dots/clip were from my stash :)
I still love using Pinterest for inspiration. The way our feed shows now can be somewhat annoying but it's still my No. 1 time waster and inspiration source :)
Hope your weekend has been fabulous! Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay safe!! Em xo
I'm up on the CTK blog today with this weeks 3 To Inspire recipe challenge. I hope you'll pop over and check it out. Don't forget to play along for your chance to win a little happy mail from the CTK store!!
Thanks, Em xo
Let me first wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! Crazy how fast 2015 seemed to fly for me. Hoping 2016 will go a little slower :) I also want to say thank you for visiting my little blog throughout the year; I'm incredibly grateful that you spend your time here so thank you!
The January CTK kits are finally out! WOHOO! There is so much goodness to love in this month's kits! Thought I'd share just a couple today and a few later in the week (and one will be up on the CTK blog this week too!)
First up is this one. Went with black and white with a few pops of colour. This features paper/thickers from the Add-on kit plus extra from Sprinkles and Embellishment kits.
I love B&W photo's against a white background. To me, they make the photo "pop", but I know that's not a feeling shared by everyone ;)
Next up I have a layout using the Add-on kit only.
I have to confess - I have mixed feelings about this layout. I actually re-created this 3 times, lol. Each time the background was different but I did save different elements from each attempt so they were not a complete waste ;)
And last one for today has a combination of papers from each of the kits!
I just had to make a page about the tree before I ripped it down :) Took our tree down a bit earlier than usual this year; just woke up one morning with this need to take it all down - so that's what I did!
Tried my hand at hand-cut lettering and it was so much fun! I wanted to include a verse of the "Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree" but I went without 'cause I liked it well enough and I couldn't figure out where to put the journalling lol. But when I look at this I start humming the song in my head.. Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, Such pleasure do you bring me! Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, Such pleasure do you bring me! For every year this Christmas tree, Brings to us such joy and glee. Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, Such pleasure do you bring me! HA!
As mentioned earlier, this one has paper from all the kits (Main, Pocket Life & Add-on) plus a few little embellishments from the Sprinkles & Embellishment kits).
And that's it for today! What is your favourite from this month's kits?
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope your holiday break (if you had one!) has been a wonderful one. I've worked on and off during the Chrissy/New year break (but only half days!) - although sadly it's all back to normal next week. Boo, haha.
Stay safe :) Em xo
