Hi scrappy friends! I'm baaa-aaaaaaack! It's some kind of miracle ;) I've been having so much fun with the CTK August kits, the pages are almost making themselves. It all co-ordinates so well!
My next page is using the Main, Paper Play & Embellishment kits and I've totally brought the pink out for a boy page. And I LOVE IT! Even Zack loves it. Pink does not equal girly in this house. Pink is cheerful and fun! Here's my page:
The pops of pink makes it's cute, right?! I went with a biggish photo here (6x4) and kept the background neutral with black & white polka dots then embellished with the pinks (and a touch of mint at the bottom!). The die-cuts included in the main are just gorgeous. There are quite a few pieces from the new Maggie Holmes Carousel collection in the kits this month and it makes me super happy!
I love making this kind of layout (and I do this style alot) - using a big photo means I only have to worry about that other half of my page! Means the pages come together a lot quicker which is always a win in my book :)
I actually used a big of packaging on this page too - the Maggie Holmes Carousel Ephemera Pack has the cutest scalloped edge at the bottom of the package. So I totally cut it off and tucked it under my heading! Love when the packaging is pretty enough to use on you page as well ;)
I took the backing off that pink Maggie Holmes Carousel Clip (from the Embellishment kit) again. Don't get me wrong, the clips are cute but I can never get them to sit the way I want on my pages...and they pop off the backing clip quite easily too, so I just stick it down with a bit of foam tape underneath.
Super happy how this one finished up. And I got it finished in under an hour. Win, win, win! What's your go-to for speedy pages? Love to hear your process!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Take care, Em xo
