Well didn't February just fly by! Hard to believe we are in March already! Between work and Zack there isn't a whole heap of time left at the moment but I did manage to steal some time to play with Citrus Twist's March kit, Sweet. I loved last month's kit but this one may just be starting to sneak in front. The colours are gorgeous and its packed with lots of "stuff" to keep me happy! Speaking of "stuff" if you have a thing about little extra's then you are going to love the new Sprinkles kit's! It's got little bits and pieces from a few different embellishment packs, because sometimes a full pack is just too much - this way you get some without being overwhelmed! Kinda awesome :)
I only have a couple layouts to share here so far. The others will be shared a bit later this month on the blog ;)
First up is Hooray! I absolutely had to make a layout about Makayla's first day at school because she was sooooooooo excited and she absolutely loved her first day (and still loves it). This one was put together using the main kit only!
And I have to say, the printables included in the kit are a personal fave!
Next up is Puppy Love. This one is a combination of main kit (mostly) and the new sprinkles kit! I am hoarding the heart veneers. I wish they came in separate packs, I'd snap them up in a flash ;)
The puppy in the picture is Buster, Makayla's present for her 5th birthday. He's one of 2 puppies she got actually...they (my brother and SIL) meant to only get one but they got suckered in by the cuteness when they went to collect and brought one of each home instead...lol. Zack took a fancy to the boy puppy and wanted to keep him. Fortunately I am not suckered in quite as easily... ;)
Photo was taken out the back of our house right in the middle of renovations so there is a heap of less than pretty things in the background. To try and minimise them standing out so much I added a couple soft filters to the photo along with a sun flare at the top left of my photo before printing. Then I placed the tag/heart to help hide the rest. I still notice all that "stuff" in the background but the photo is cute enough that I don't mind it so much :)
And that's it for now! I hope your start to the new month has been a great one (and continues to be a good one!). I'm secretly hoping things slow down just a teeeeeeeeny little bit.
