Just thought I'd swing by to share a layout I've made using the October kits! Just one layout to share today, others are not quite finished ;)
It was so hard to get a good photo of Zack at the school dance - I was trying not to be one of those crazy parents that moves around with the camera trying to get the best shot (and there were plenty of those...). Got most of it on video instead which is cool with me. His class did really well, even though they all cringe and go bright red having to stand up in front of the school (and families) do do their dance.
I am crushing on the paper by Dear Lizzy (Documentary "On My Desk" from Paper Play #2) so I decided to cut the triangles out and make my own version of the pattern on a white cardstock for something a little different. The label is actually cut from the Pink Paislee paper from the Main Kit (Memorandum "Labels"). I just printed straight onto the paper and cut it out to shape with scissors. Because I scrap 6x8 I end up with 3x4 cut-offs and I printed to one of those - first I printed onto plain paper to figure out the positioning then stuck the label paper on top and hoped for the best lol, Worked out OK! Win!
And I'm in LOVE with those veneer hearts. I had to make myself use them. I so badly just wanted to hoard them. Wish I could get a few dozen of those, perfect size for my pages and so cute! :)
The title is Dear Lizzy Thickers from this month's Embellishment kit! I adore the script font!
And that's it for today! Have a couple more on the go but haven't quite finished (something is missing, can't decide what though - do you ever have that with your layouts?! You know it needs something but cant quite figure out what that is..).
Thank you so much for dropping by. Hope your week has been an amazing one! Em xx
