YAY! Citrus Twist April kits have been revealed and I'm sure you'll agree they are pretty awesome! Colours are spot on and bound to make you happy no matter which side of the world you are on ;)
I really enjoyed putting my layouts together this month and unintentionally went with a number theme for a few layouts, I'm guessing the paper (b-side of Maggie Holmes Confetti "Hooray") may have inspired that one lol.
So here are the first 3 layouts (in order of how they were made) made using the Main Kit only!
Originally I was going to use the actual cut words but after weeding them from the mat I decided I liked the negative better and just backed it up with the bright yellow crepe paper. I kinda love the pop of yellow :)
For my next layout I really wanted to use the thickers. I am guilty of hoarding thickers. For what I'm not sure, but I have dozens of packs with only a few letters gone just sitting there... So I went with a long title and some colourful banners at the top. Easy one :)
And last layout for today is this one. For this one I wanted to go a little girly and use the flower die-cuts. They are perfect for layering! I actually had this layout set out before I picked a photo to go with it. I wanted to use the numbers from the b-side of Maggie Holmes Confetti "Hooray" on a layout so I found a photo of little Miss M that I liked and worked with the "3" and that was that ;)
I really wish I had some insightful and meaningful explanation in how I put layouts together but alot of it is just playing around until I find something I like. Makes for a boring read up I'm sure, but its what works for me - the more I try to plan the worse the layouts look so I just go with what works ;)
I still have a couple more layouts to share and some gift tags (I know, shock horror! Something not a layout for a change, ha!) so I'll be back in a few days to share those.
In the meantime I hope you're having a wonderful holiday break, stay safe :)
