Just wanted to swing by and share the last of my layouts from the April kits!
I still have plans for another layout (for a blog post later in the month), but after that I'll almost have killed it! I really loved this month's kit, it was super easy to use which is kinda the point of getting kits isn't it? To receive a variety of amazing products that are so easy and fun to use?! Yes, please!
First up is this one; a birthday layout about Zack turning the big "8".....apparently that's getting OLD...poor thing. This layout was totally about the "8". I'd cut it to use in a different way; but as with everything I do, I didn't like it so cut it out and completely switched it up. The letters are hand-cut and completely imperfect but I love it anyway :)
As a side note, date on the above layout...WRONG! Dammit! Should say MAR not MAY. *faceplant* Nothing worse than finding a typo AFTER posting it everywhere and not being able to do a thing about it. Ah well. I've fixed it up on the actual layout but I'll forever be known as that dork that posted a layout with a May date in April...yeah..
Next layout I put together was basically just to use up all those little scraps of paper I had left from the earlier layouts. I cut the paper into little squares to form a grid (can't go wrong with grids!) and used up some more alpha's! I'm sure you've noticed that I'm a big fan of printing my journaling on vellum then adhering that to my layouts - I've never been a fan of my own handwriting and printing it out is just so easy to do!
Last but not least are these gift tags! Now don't laugh; I am definitely not a card/gift tag maker, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I mean, I have everything I need to do it so why do I keep going and buying them.. Crazy! Whipped these up in under 10 minutes each (which is super fast for me) and I think they're kinda cute :)
Thanks so much for stopping by; hope you had an amazing Easter weekend and settling into the new (work) week :)
I'm off to start my next page using the new epoxy stickers from this month's kit - unfortunately they didn't arrive in time to ship with the DT kits and they're even cuter than the pictures show! Perfect size for my pages too ;)
