Hey friends! Just stopping in quickly to share another page I created using the CTK August kits, specifically the Add-on and little bit from the Embellishment kit :)
It's no secret that I love stars. They are one of my favourite shapes ever and I make no apologies for having them on most of my layouts. They're just fun and I think they suit any type of layout, no matter what it's about.
For this page I cut a bunch of little stars from the patterned paper using my Cameo. I had originally planned on just using scissors but because they are so small it was fiddly and the Cameo makes the process so much quicker! I layered them down my page (random lengths) and then just machine stitched them in place.
Just a quick post to share that I am up on the CVS blog today with a new page using the YOU ROCK collection. Which as you know, I think totally rocks ;)
Hope you'll pop by to see more! Em xo
Back again to share another page! (Funnily enough I've been trying to log on all day to share this but the login page for my blog has been crashing all day - super annoying, I'm already bad at blogging they don't need to make it worse but not letting me log in, ha).
I'm up on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog today with an awesome little dude page using TOTALLY RAD. I still love this collection so much. Boy-themed collections will always and forever be a favourite (kinda obvious eh). I'm super excited about the new collection (You Rock) coming out though - have you seen it?!! Oh my lawd, YES!
Anyways, I'm blabbering on. This page is all about Totally Rad. It is totally rad. The collection I mean haha. Hope you'll go read a bit more and check out all the photo's - I had a heap of fun putting it together :)
Thanks for stopping by!! Take care, Em xo
Finally sitting down to share this layout. I actually finished this last weekend but didn't get the photo's done until yesterday. So slack I know.
This one came about because I'm trying to use the Cameo Silhouette more. I've even moved it closer to my actual work desk so that I'll be more inclined to turn it on and use it! Moving the cameo means I need the laptop over my side too (so less desk space) but the cameo works better hooked up to the laptop - for some annoying reason the cameo wont actually connect every time to my desktop (and I have to turn it off/on 10+ times until it does); hence my the reason for my love/hate relationship with it. HA!
This is a cut file that I picked up from The Cut Shoppe a little while ago. I've been getting a few files from Ashley lately so be prepared to see me using cut files in more layouts ;)
I'm still in love with the colours of Lovely Day and I'm smitten with those little flags and trying to find an excuse to put them on every layout at the moment.
For my title I went with one of the chipboard and grouped it with a cut file I created to make it read "Today you are seven". The font I used for that is called Jenthill (super cute isn't it - not a freebie though!). I'm a sucker for buying script fonts.
And then I added the banner! I love the banners! Did I mention that already?! I changed this one a little, I took off the bottom flag (the green clashed with the other colours I'd gone with) and I added one of the puffy stickers instead. Kinda love how it turned out..and the colours match ;)
As usual I just typed my journaling up on the computer and printed it out. I keep wanting to include my own handwriting more but every time I try it I only end up disliking the page, which is a complete waste, so I think I'll be sticking with the typed look.
Love the soft, dreamy colours of the page - not too girly (because my brother would die if I put him on a all-pink page) but still pretty enough because it is a page out my niece after all!
And that's it! I really do love creating pages using cut-files and I'm hoping now it's closer to me I'll get into the habit of using it all the time!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your weekend is a great one! Take care, Em xo
