Hi guys! Back again to share a couple more pages using the CTK January kits! I really love die-cuts included in the main and add-on kits this month. (Big shout out for the die-cuts in the Main and Pocket Life kits - aren't the designs just awesome?!)
First up is this one - I set the design for this one solely on those leave die-cuts out of the main kit. They matched up perfectly with more out of the add-one. Added a few doilies for layers and then popped a little cluster of embellishments at the bottom of my page. Done!
And the next one is totally all about making stars. I absolutely love stars; quite alot of my layouts feature them. For this page I just hand-cut stars using scissors (I drew them in pencil on the reverse and them cut them to shape so they stayed a little consistent, otherwise my stars go super wonky ha!).
Added a copule more chipboard stars and my title is a chipboard word from the add-on kit. I adore the soft colours of the page. Not too girly but still girly, if that make's sense ;)
And that is it for now! Still have a couple more to share but they'll be a little later on the month on the CTK blog ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Take care! Em xo
Hi friends! I'm late posting another layout but I actually have a legit reason for once; I've had no internet (phone company doing maintenance that caused drama's with our line). But happy to report we're back up and running and so here I am!
I've booted up the Cameo a few times this month and I'm enjoying playing with it again. It really is awesome little thing.
I created my own background pattern by repeating a hexagon shape and then cut it out of white cardstock. My initial thought was to put patterned paper behind but then I had all these white little hexagons lying about and I figured it might be fun to create layers using them! So I got out my trusty glue pen and stuck them together, anywhere from 2-8 high.
I used the August Main and Add-on for this one! Took a little time to stick those tiny little hexagons together (they're only about 1/2 inch'ish wide) but I'm super happy with how it ended up. It's one of those pages that is hard to capture on film but the different depths looks cool in person....atleast I think so hehe.
Those puffy and word stickers in the main - loooooove! I'm a sucker for the tiny little embellishments (perfect size for my pages) and these are perfect!
And that's it for now! Tomorrow is FRI-YAY! And it's doubly good for me this week because I'm starting 2 weeks holiday after tomorrow, YAYAYAYAYAY! Can.not.wait. No special plans to go anywhere, just looking forward to having 2 weeks off to re-charge and do whatever. (Like get up super early and go to Flour Market on Sunday, yayayyayay).
Hope your week has been a great one! Thanks for stopping by :) Em xo
Eek. June?! 2 weeks since my last blog post? Ahhh! Such a bad, bad blogger :)
I still can't believe it's June already! Time flies when you're having fun. Except I'm not having a whole heap of fun, just busy with work. Every time I think we're going to get a quiet patch; things go nuts and I neglect this blog (and my craft room..). I'd promise to do better but...you know ;)
The June release for Citrus Twist Kits has come and gone just like *that* (insert me clicking my fingers) and I'm playing catch up with my projects. I finished one page then got the bright idea I'd do a mini-album, because I can totally do a complete album in one day right?! Hahahaha. I know, I might have been a teeny bit ambitious. But good news is I finished it tonight so that's what I'm going to share first up ;)
I am quickly become a bit fan of these little albums, they're a heap of work (for me) but I love the extra dimension I can add to a book. Plus I can use multiple photo's from the same day and it doesn't look so weird, lol. This album, for example, is just a series of photo's I took of Zack on 10th October 2013. Hence the title of my album..
I used a little from almost all of the June kits I think on this. To be honest I made a mess of my desk and have mixed everything together so I'll have to go back and look at the kit photo's to figure out what came from where ;) (I did use chipboard, vellum and clear acetate from my stash though!)
Anyway I'll stop blabbing and just post the pics!
I love this little album already and already feel the need to make another one! They're so addictive. The papers in the kit this month were just perfect for this album. I'd actually printed one of these photo's out before the kits arrive (I try to plan ahead...sometimes atleast) but soon as I had the papers in my hand I knew I had to do more than just a layout! Add in the gorgeous die-cuts from the kits and it was a match made in heaven! I'm actually really happy how this one turned out :)
And that's it for now! I'll share another page over the weekend and I still have a couple projects on the go....and I'm planning to finish those this weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by; I really do appreciate you taking the time to do so!
Take care, Em xo
